Wafy Alumni Association
The Wafy Alumni Association (WAA) is the CIC’s official alumni association, composed of all Wafy graduates. The WAA maintains and enhances a highly engaged, vibrant community of Wafy alumni worldwide and strives to reconnect graduates to their alma mater and each other.
The association came into existence on February 4, 2016 and was officially registered at Malappuram Registrar's Office (No. 650/2018) on October 3, 2018.
WAA is engaged in leveraging the diverse potential of Wafy graduates worldwide and utilising them in conducting various educational, social development and community empowerment activities. The association also focuses on upskilling and empowering its own members, in addition to serving as a pillar of support for the CIC’s goals by strengthening the ties between the alumni, the community and the parent body.
Wafiyya Alumni Association
Wafiyya Alumni Association came into existence in an alumni gathering on February 02, 2019 at Markazu Tharbiyyathil Islamiyya, Valanchery.
The Association made its presence felt in a short span of time, by involving in various educational and social development activities, in addition to embarking on initiatives to upskill and empower its own members.

Wafiyyas
- As many as 422 Wafiyyas (in eight batches) have graduated from the various residential Wafiyya colleges in Kerala.
- The Wafiyya graduates have made their presence felt in different walks of life, especially in education and community development initiatives such as teaching, research, social development, training etc. within a short period of time.
- Over 200 Wafiyya graduates are active in various education and community development initiatives.
- Several graduates have conducted training activities under the Sunni Mahal Federation, the Indian Councillors’ Association and the State Waqf Board.
- About 200 graduates serve as teachers in various institutions in India and abroad.
- As many as 30 graduates have completed their Master’s degrees and six of them passed National Eligibility Test and Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test exams.
- Around 150 graduates are currently pursuing their post-graduation at various universities, while 20 of them are doing B.Ed. Around 50 graduates have enrolled on Wafiyya Master’s.
Flood relief work
The association was involved in helping the victims of Kerala flood in 2018 and 2019 financially and physically.
Wafy Alumni Centre, Angadippuram
The association has set up an Alumni Centre in Angadipuram, Perinthalmanna to coordinate its activities as well as to host the various training sessions, workshops and meetings it conducts on a regular basis. The centre houses the association’s office as well a conference hall with a seating capacity of 50. The Alumni Centre also serves as a venue for the various programmes hosted by the CIC or WSF.
The Grand Summit
The Wafy Grand Summit was a memorable event in the history of the Wafy Alumni Association. The summit was held at the CP Convention Centre in Velimukku, Malapuuram, on February 3, 2019, with the participation of over 700 Wafy graduates. The conference was attended by eminent leaders and scholars in Kerala such as Panakkad Syed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal and Professor Alikutty Musliyar Secretary, Samastha Kerala Jam’iyathul Ulama.
‘Meet the Leaders’
The association conducted a ‘Leaders Meet’ on October 7, 2018 at Puthanathani Islamic Center. The meeting was attended by the office bearers, working committee members and members of the various district and constituency committees of the association. The meeting was inaugurated by Syed Abbas Ali Shihab Thangal and was led by Ustad Abdul Hakeem Faizy Adriserry and Ustad Salam Faizy Olavattur.
Masjid Renovation Fund
The association has raised funds to the tune of INR 600,000 for a mosque renovation project at a campus in Pang, Malappuram.
The campus was handed over to CIC after it stayed abandoned for a long time serving as a haven for social traffickers.
Projects / Activities
- The Wafiyya Orientation Camps “Al Wafaa’ 2k19”, jointly organized by the Alumni Association and the WSF in different parts of the state on 08/04/2019, have attracted much attention due to their organization and different sessions. Through various sessions led by Wafiyyas and Wafiyya students, it was possible to come down to the students and learn about their tastes and likes and gain them interest in the integrative education like Wafiyya.
- One of the notable activities of the Association was the one-day camp organized on 01/06/2019 at the UAE Abu Dhabi Indian Islamic Center called "Festoon of Teens 2k19". Through a series of sessions, We were able to bring the importance and relevance of integrative education to Malayalee girls in UAE.
- Wafiyya Alumni Association raised funds for the Medical Assistance Fund for dear brother Ubaidullah Wafy and gave a big amount for it.
Wafiyya Writers Forum
Wafiyya Writers Forum is a collective of writers among the graduates from Wafiya Colleges.
The Forum has launched a blog under the title 'Jaalakam' to publish the works Wafiyya graduates and has conducted essay writing and poetry-writing competitions for them.
The Forum is looking to publish a compilation of ‘Wafiyya Teaching Notes’ by September, 2020 and has plans to bring out a collection of the best poems in its poetry-writing competition.
At present the editorial board of the Forum consists of the following members:

Wafiyya Trainers Forum
Wafiyya Trainers Forum, which aims to create RPs for training classes and mahal-centric activities mandated by CIC at Wafiyya Colleges, is a gathering of aspiring and interested people in the training field. The Coordinator of this group of over 80 members is Najeeba Wafiyya and Assistant Coordinator is Salma Wafiyya. As part of bringing members into the training field through different training and coaching, The forum conducted a training camp titled "To vitalize To visualize" in association with Wafy SEM on December 1, 2019 at Kondotty. The forum is now in the process of providing certificate training courses for its members.
Wafiyya Media Wing
The media wing handles all the media & communication-related tasks for the Alumni Association and WSF. The wing accords top priority to maximizing the use of advanced technology in its operations and community outreach.

WAFA
WAFA project is implemented by the Wafy Alumni Association to encourage interest-free loans under the organization, encourage the use of money for the cause of Allah, create opportunities for it, strengthen cooperation and mutual assistance, provide financial assistance to members of the Association especially to those who are working in the religious field, provide loans to Wafy graduates who are going for higher studies.
Career Guidance & Higher Education Cell
The Career Guidance & Higher Education Cell serves the purpose of providing guidance to the all students in general and to Wafy students in particular, about higher education and learning opportunities. The cell also helps Wafy graduates to find good employment opportunities. In December, the cell members visit Wafy PG institutions and offers guidelines for higher education for PG students.
Social Empowerment Mission - SEM
Social Empowerment Mission (SEM) is the social development and community empowerment arm of the association. The mission organizes workshops for trainers in areas like motivation, career development and parenting. Till date as many as 54 trainers have participated in two workshops organized by SEM on motivation and parenting. The SEM also hosted a 10-hour parenting course which was attended by 67 participants in two sessions. In addition, SEM organized a camp for boys and girls at Markaz Campus, Valanchery and a Wafy-Wafiyya orientation camp in Kondotty during the summer vacation.
Waa Media
Waa Media is a YouTube channel under the organization. The channel works in a variety of areas including current issues, motivational, parenting, pre / post marital and behavioural classes, informative negotiations, panel discussions and short documentaries.
